The Festival is done once a year 2002-2013. In 2018 – 2024 it was done again under different names
Arirang Mass Games - Grand Mass Gymnastics and Artistic Performance.
It takes place at The Rungrado 1st of May Stadium Pyongyang. The stadium capacity ~ 114,000
The festival was recognized by the Guinness Book of Records in 2007 as the largest gymnastics display ever, with 100,090 participants.
The mosaic pictures and animations in the background are created by more than 30,000 trained school children. For early festivals, the number is said to be 294х62 (18228 of people)
The composition consists of a background mosaic, on-field mobile decorations, on-field performance, global light effects and music. Everything is orchestrated in some magical way. See the videos!!!!
